The DLI French Program at Bay Creek Middle is based on a continuation model in which students pivot out of a “content-only” instruction toward a balanced, precision driven approach to develop advanced language proficiency in reading, writing, conversational abilities in French. The goal is to prepare the students for the next stage of their language development, whether this is pursuing Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) studies, entering a dual-enrollment program at the college level, or using their language skills in the workplace. The DLI journey consists of 3 (required) year-long Advanced Language and Literacy/ High School Level 3 courses as well 2 semester-based Culture & History- Media/Literacy courses
